Learning the learning

How did we learn when we were in school?
How did we learn addition? And before learning the addition how did we learn numbers?

Now this is how we learnt the numbers, our teacher raising an apple in his right hand showed us an apple and said, “apple” thus we learnt apple visually we assigned word apple to the real apple, thus we learnt distinction apple.

Further waving an apple in the air teacher said, “one”, now one of the student said, “but teacher you just said this is an apple, what is ‘one’?” pointing to the apple teacher said, “this is one and also an apple, this is ‘one apple’”, thus we learnt distinction that more than one reference can be built to same object.

Now teacher took another apple in his left hand and waved and said, “one apple”, by now another student got up and pointing his finger to the apple at the right hand of the teacher said, “no, that is one apple” teacher waving apple in his left hand said, “this is also one apple” and waving apple in his right hand said “this is also another one applethus we learnt the distinction of shifting the reference.

Teacher simultaneously waved the apples in his both the hand and said “two apples” he kept one repeating the whole process thus we learnt the distinction of counting two.

I want to know more, of how we learnt other things, the basic and fundamental things in life understanding its root and source.

Append more examples so that our learning of learning grows by leaps and bound
